Cubet and one of the biggest aviation staff training companies in Europe joined forces in 2017 to create an innovative, end to end aviation staff training ecosystem. With over 300 EASA-compliant flight training modules, the programme covers all areas of the aviation industry, from cabin and ground crews to management and technicians. Apart from learning solutions, the ecosystem has qualification management solutions, electronic training record solutions, visual 360 based interactive learning solutions, and a competency based training assessment solution.
The ecosystem is aimed at providing an Aviation company with an end to end solution to manage staff training and related processes.
The project was started in 2014, when they initially built an LMS platform that gained great traction for its unique concept of interactive training methods. At that time, aviation learning was relying mostly on paper-based training, and interactive learning technologies were only accessible to less than 25% of aviation staff. Moreover, no systems exist to manage end-to-end training, qualification management, or training records.
The client reached out to Cubet in 2017 to revamp their LMS platform and add additional services. The client's vision was to create a dynamic aviation training ecosystem that can offer more visual based learning and incorporate specialized training modules covering topics such as crew resource management, helicopter training, aviation security, high altitude aerodynamics, discipline, responsibility, and mental health in aviation. Also, the client wanted to build other software that could help aviation companies manage training and compliance more effectively and efficiently.
Developing aviation training modules that deliver impressive learning experiences posed several challenges. We faced the following obstacles while meeting these requirements:
1. As a new entrant in the aviation industry, we had to go through a challenging phase where the team had to sync with the demands and expectations of the industry. The aviation industry's quality demands and expectations are very high, for which we had to establish a dedicated quality team.
2. The project being Aviation softwares, we had to create a technical team of the best quality and ensure they stay in the account long term. To address this demand, we adopted a retention policy for the account to reduce the attrition rate and ensure a stable and continuous team.
3. We had to communicate with end users from diverse geographies for maintenance, support, and new service requests, as the solutions are used worldwide. We established a maintenance team for this task.
4. The project requirement was quick, and they needed new systems to go live in a short period of time due to the high demand in the market. We had to train and scale the team size to meet this rapid requirement.
We started working with the client as a key technology partner in 2017. Since then, we have been involved in various projects. These software packages cater to the unique needs of aviation companies by offering comprehensive training management, qualification tracking, evaluation, and assessment capabilities. The software was so highly user-friendly and interactive that any Aviation company could easily adopt it to meet its training requirements.

- A Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBTA) solution, which is an innovative new learning concept that leverages virtual and augmented reality to provide more interactive training experiences. Already approved by the ICAO (United Nations Civil Aviation Specialized Agency), the CBTA creates simulated environments for physical activities with the help of VR, AR, and 360-degree visualization.
- Virtual s360 training courses that are part of the CBTA solution and offer more user-friendly, interactive, and physical training experiences. These courses include more interactive elements to fulfill the whole psychological level of design that will help the user remember and make training valuable.
- Mobile App for offline Training solutions offer comprehensive training management, qualification tracking, evaluation, and assessment capabilities to help aviation professionals learn more effectively and efficiently. By bringing traditional offline training online, we aim to help the aviation industry transition to a more modern and dynamic approach to training.
